Favorite things about Long Beach

80’s night at Alex’s Bar, bubbles at District Wine, kayaking Naples, running Ocean Blvd, the fact that it always manages to be 5 degrees warmer than any other So-Cal beach city!

If you could have only one meal, what and where would it be?

El Cocinito in Silverlake.  No frills, just damn good Cuban food.  The Cuban sandwich, ropa vieja, platanos, black beans and rice, washed down with an ice-cold Jupina. Would expect a high-five from mi abuela as we met on the other side.
